The building process can sometimes be scary, but don't fret! We're here to help guide you through the building process every step of the way.
The beginning of any project starts with the first face-to-face meeting between client and contractor. The client is asked to discuss their wants, needs, budget, and vision of the project. We take notes and offer our advice to the client in how we would suggest achieving their goals. A budget is discussed and if the scope and budget align, the next step is plan design.
In order to give the clients an accurate price to do their project, a complete set of plans need to be available to the CCG team for take-off and quoting. This phase puts the clients ideas on paper. The clients will sometimes already have a complete set of plans to give us for a quote. Some instances, we help them in finding a plan that already fits their needs or we offer to them contact information on local architects and home plan designers in the area that can draw their home plan for them.
We all work together as a TEAM to bring the clients vision to life while guiding the process along set budget parameters. Once home plans are completed, it's off to structural engineering for their design. Engineering, along with architectural plans are both needed in order to give our clients an accurate quote for their project. Once a complete set of construction plans are available, then it's time for the take-off and quote.
Now that architectural and engineering plans have been completed, final pricing can begin. Once final pricing is completed by our team, we have a meeting with the clients to go over the final numbers. Some items within the build can be changed in order to meet the budget set by the clients. If everything is agreed upon, the next phase is contract signing and timeline discussion.
During this phase, all items that have been discussed during the course of numerous conversations and plans will be placed in the form of a construction contract. Included within the contract will be all items needed to complete the new home according to the outlined plans and specifications. A plot plan will also be included to know exactly where on the lot the home will sit. All interior and exterior items to complete the build will be outlined as well. And final contract price to build the home will be included and the draw format in which Carter Construction Group is to be paid as the project progresses to completion. Both parties sign the contract and it's time to get to work.
Completed plans are submitted to local municipalities for review and permitting. This process can take 2-6 weeks, depending on which country or city the home is being built in. Once permit is in hand, lot preparation can begin. When lot is cleared, and any geotechnical inspections that are needed are completed, the foundation of the home can begin. The when foundation is completed, framing of the home begins and the it all goes very quickly. We work with our clients all along the way during the construction phase keeping them updated to the schedule progression and keeping everything running smoothly. You can trust Carter Construction Group to get the job done on time, on budget and with the highest quality standards available.
All inspections have been completed and a final certificate of completion has been issued to Carter Construction Group by the city/county officials permitting office declaring the project to be complete according to all state and federal construction guidelines. Final yard and home touch-ups are being completed during this time. The last walk through of the project is done by our team and the client. Keys and any final payments are exchanged.
